Among the Psych fans, I consider myself as one of the staunchest ones. I stick to my opinions as I have a fair bit of logic behind them. There is no dearth of reasons for my love for this uproarious show, which always manages to give me intolerable fits of mad laughter. I make it a point to watch all its episodes. Season 4 of Psych has presented even higher levels of entertainment.

The character of Shawn Spencer is life and soul of this superlative TV show. Physic is what it is due to wonderful acting performance by actor James Roday. He has a really funny persona and great ability to catch the audience’s eye. I think he must stick to comedy roles, as they suit him in every account. I get engrossed by his character’s enhanced observational abilities, which come in extremely handy to resolve complex criminal cases. Psych rocks as James Roday rocks as an actor.

I am thinking in terms of starting my own Psych fan community. It will be a befitting thank you for my most loved TV show. I will update about its name as soon I am through with my idea. Roday also gave his view why this show has captured minds of millions of fans, “There are so few rules that we have to follow in terms of making this show. I don’t think there are a lot of other shows out there where one week you’re wearing chaps and spurs and riding a horse and the next week you’re running from a potato sack headed killer chasing you into the woods with a machete, and yet you’re still laughing both times. I think it’s a pretty unique little hybrid; it has something for everyone.”

This guy not only makes us laugh in reel life but real life too. His answer how this show changed his life is, “My socks and underwear don’t have holes in them anymore. That was a big deal for me.”

We know him as Detective Carlton Lassiter on Psych. Although, many people find this character to be edgy and disgruntled, I am amused by Detective Carlton. So when I came across an interview of Timothy Omundson, the face of the character, I could not resist myself from going through the same. I know that you would definitely like to know more about what the actor thinks about the show and his character. So, here are some extracts of the interview.

According to Timothy, he did not have to practice much for portraying this very uptight and uncool character, as he is not incredibly cool in his real life as well. But the actor does not look at it that way, as he believes in Rainn Wilson’s words “there is great comedy to be had in great seriousness.” So Timothy says that he is not uncool, only a bit more serious.

Timothy feels that his character in Psych has evolved over the run of three seasons of the series. According to Timothy, he decided to play the character because, he had portrayed enough characters where he was seen as a sweet, social worker-esque, spiritual guy and he just wanted to break that image and play a little more of a bad ass. And even though the character of Lassiter was not that of a bad ass, but it was quite different from what he had been doing till then.

Timothy also feels that his job on Psych is the most difficult, because he has to always keep a straight face, while the other characters get a chance to laugh and joke around. He also feels that the fact that he finds the characters of his co-stars quite funny while his character has feelings totally in opposition to that, and this makes his job even more difficult.

Timothy also felt that despite the fact that Psych had completed three successful seasons, the show was still very close to its original concept. It has managed to retain its basic flavor of smart, funny banter which has made the audiences shower their love on each of its characters.

We agree with you Mr. Timothy and that is why we are eagerly waiting for the show to return.

As of now, we all know that fourth season of Psych has been announced by USA Network and it’s supposed to hit our TV screens on June 2, 2009. Sixteen episodes are announced, making the no. of total episodes equal to the no. of previous season’s episodes. First season of Psych had only 15 episodes but the second, third and now fourth one also, has sixteen episodes each.

The beginning of the upcoming season of Psych will be kicked off by the episode entitled ‘He Dead’. Here, we’d, most likely, see Shawn and Gus trying to carry out the last wishes of a billionaire hedge fund manager by unraveling the identity of his murderer. Various other exciting events would be there to tie you to your seat. Sorry guys, I could find no other details to share with you. The movie which is based on a script by Ken Yakkel is currently in search of a distributor. It stars Bill Moseley, Patricia Tallman, Joshua Feinman and David Moscow. The story revolves around a talk radio team trying to warn its listeners about the zombies who are on the loose in Los Angeles, after a huge explosion sets them free. Well, seems like an interesting storyline, what say guys!

I have not known Crobin as a director as I have not been able to see any of his previous ventures. However I really like his performance as an actor, in my favorite series Psych. I have loved the show since it started airing in 2006. Since then I have not missed a single episode of the series that finished airing its Season 3 in the last week of February. This light hearted detective comedy is presented in a fast paced and funny manner which makes it quite an interesting to watch. Psych episodes keeps you hooked not only with great funny script but also with the fantastic acting of every cast member. Well, don’t know where I should start from? I mean, whether I should first write what I like about ‘Psych‘ or what I like about James Roday? Hey, both compliment each other and wherever I start from, it’ll cover another one very brilliantly.

Okay, my fingers are getting out of control and are typing the name of James Roday. Actually, that’s what is called intuition. So, I’ll go ahead with him. James Roday is playing Shawn Spencer on ‘Psych’. He’s a young man with very high observational skills and is raised up by his father Henry Spencer. Shawn works as the ‘Head Psychic’ at the Santa Barbara, California Police Department.

When I first watched ‘Psych’, I was very impressed by his appearance. He reminds me of the young guys who don’t care what their parents want them to be and they just do whatever they want. Henry (Shawn’s father) wants him to join Police Forces but he has no interest to be a police officer so he takes on random jobs to earn his living. But, later, he joins the police department convincing everyone that he’s a psychic. You can learn from him how to be a fake and not-so-boring Psychic….

I really love detective stories and ‘Psych’ is one of those. It’s completely different from many other useless shows (I’m not gonna write the names), which just make you fool by carrying out uninteresting as well as dull investigations. But, Psych is completely different from all those and its script is so funny and witty as well.

Truly, I must say that only James Roday is the one who can play Shawn Spencer so well and must appreciate creators’ who chose him for this role. WOW!! A great job which made series great….. I love Psych!

When I last wrote about the third season finale ‘Talk Derby to Me’, I was not sure about another season of ‘Psych’. It was not apparent to me, whether series will be back with fourth season or third season will be declared as the series finale season. As of now, I’m feeling very felicitous after reading the latest news on ‘Psych‘ series.

Hey! USA Network has renewed ‘Psych’ for fourth season and it’ll have 16 episodes this time. As per the details revealed by the network, ‘Psych’ attracted 2.24 million viewers last season so they decided to produce another season of a well received show. Jeff Wachtel, USA Network’s Executive Vice President said, “PSYCH has some of the best young demos the network has ever seen and continues to surprise audiences with entertaining storylines”. Really, Psych is one of those series which have a huge fan base and it’s one of my favorite series as well. Luckily, our favorite series is back with another season and I hope the upcoming season will be more stimulating than the previous ones.

‘Psych’, a breezy comedy about Shawn Spencer, a police consultant who solves mysteries with his super power of observation, was the #1 show in 2006. ‘Psych’ season 4 will presumably premiere in July, 2009.

I think the Network has done fine so would like to say a sweet ‘Thanks’ to them. I am pretty sure it will bring a cute smile to your face, if I’ll say, “Hurrah!!…… finally, psychic Shawn is baaaack to fool cops with his psychic abilities”.

Yeah, one thing more, ‘Psych’ will kick off the second half of its current season in January, 2009 and will also air a Special Christmas themed episode on November 28. Isn’t it like a triple bonus- new season & second part of current season & special episode… well, I am greatly excited! What about you?

Did you watch the episode entitled ‘Talk Derby to me’ aired on September 5, 08? This episode was somehow a special episode of the third season of series and was liked by every viewer of show, yeah…. including me.

Don’t know about you but I liked this episode just because of WWE Diva Mickie James…… this gorgeous gave a very brilliant performance on the show and I watched this episode 15 times, just to see her dazzling act. I must say that the episode was female friendly, sports driven and extremely enjoyable. Episode revolves around very series of puzzling robberies that are linked to a roller derby team. It causes Juliet O’ Hara to go undercover by joining the roller derby team as a member.

Well, story-line was okay and it was a well received episode of third season. Let’s now discuss why it was a special episode. Mickie James, WWE Diva, made it a special one. It was her first guest appearance on a TV series and she decided to appear in the show after series star and huge wrestling fan James Roday (Shawn Spencer) requested her to do so. Read, what she says about her experience in ‘Psych’- “[T]hose (James and Dule Hill) two are characters. They were cutting up the whole time, and it was so hard to keep a straight face a lot of the time because they had me laughing a lot. They were giving me, definitely, a run for my money because we were just joking around the whole time”
