James Roday on Psych acquaintancePosted by: admin
The sixth season of the mind blogging comedy show, Psych, is on a holiday hiatus. And that has actually given us an opportunity to know what exactly the stars of the show think about it.
James Roday who plays the main lead in Psych episodes spoke his heart out, a couple of days ago. Let’s find out what he had to say about the journey of his character, Shawn Spencer.
On his signing up for the character of a fake detective, the actor revealed that there was no plan on his part to try his luck in a TV show after three of his projects as an actor bore the brunt of disgrace.
He was on a fight to New York when he was handed over the script of the comedy-drama. And once he had gone through it, he realized that it had lot of potential.
Look how true his assumptions were, for after six back-to-back seasons the show turned to be the most sought-after prime time dose of humor for fans.
Apart from James Roday, another guy also deserves much of applause. And he is none other than Dule Hill, one who plays the role of sidekick Gus.
During the interview, Roday also brought some unknown facts about that to light. If you want to know that, then read on. Initially, Gus was imagined to be weirdo Jewish guy with specs on.
Ultimately, plan changed and an Afro-America character was finalized. So who could have played it better than Dule Hill?
The show has been dishing out some emotionally engrossing events, of late. Actor Roday defended that by reminding us that the theme of the show centers on the relationship of two best friends who know each other from childhood.
Well, that’s why we have never seen Gus leaving Spencer alone while he is on a ‘mission’!
Roday also hinted about the possible end of the show when he admitted of the limitation of stretching the childhood bond of two men so long.
I don’t think Psych will pack up with season six, because there are a lot to explore for the self-proclaimed detective along with his loyal buddy, Gus.
